Butternut Squash
It seems to be everywhere (that is, everywhere in the UK) at the moment. Few non-English know it though:

So what is it? Read it on Wikipedia. In German it’s a Moschuskürbis (not that I knew that before looking it up) and in Spanish that makes it a Cucurbita moschata (obvious, no?).
I like it for soups, but it works really well roasted (on Sundays?) and for currys.
