talking about professionalism

There’s a great uproar about Channel 4’s production called “The Great Global Warming Swindle”. I am not going to comment extensively on it except that when I watched its repeat on More4 I was not particularly impressed by the “facts” and apalled by the presentation.

After the usual suspects (certain UK newspapers) ran wild articles about Global Warming being a lie the reputable press is coming to a different conclusion. A striking piece of ‘evidence’ is Carl Wunsch’s email exchange with the program producer found on Carl’s website.
As usual, I recommend reading the relevant entry (a verbatim copy of his comment in The Guardian)on Monbiot’s blog. And, again as so often, I find myself agreeing with Monbiot.

just came across a classic mistake on the rather good Ethical Travel wiki website (created by LUU E&E).

Giving tips for hitch hikers it stated (i just corrected the original version):

“Take your driver’s licence.”

rather than

“Take your drivers licence.”

I am looking forward to the driver’s face when I ask them to hand over their license :-)
